This past weekend, we showed at the Fort Worth Stock Show, and had a wonderful time. Of course, part of that was due to the fact that my white silkie cockerel won Reserve Champion Bantam! What an incredible thrill. I was so happy to win Best of Breed over some really nice birds, and then truly excited to win Champion Featherleg, but never expected to go beyond that. Silkies are often overlooked for placement beyond the division, and especially silkie cockerels. Anyway it was great, and I'm hoping that Bubba will do as well in breeding and recreating himself now that show season is over. Here a pic of Bubba with his ribbon.
